A practical, comfortable hospitality space for up to 18 guns was requested by the client for a pheasant shoot set amidst the Devon countryside. The combination of practicality, and excellent hospitality was of significance to the design of the space.

Central to the seating and entertainment area, the fireplace was moved and the space redesigned to allow for a dinning area. The reconfiguration of the log burner, fire place and chimney, allowed the formation of an external warm seat, also providing a warm area for those wishing to take drinks outside during the winter.

Furniture, lighting and accessories were carefully selected to reflect the surroundings of the lodge immersed in two thousand acres of countryside on Exmoor.

Finishes for the new boot room and reception space were required to accommodate the practical aspects of muddy boots, wet weather gear and dogs.
